Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the “Pedometer walking step Counter” app (the “App”), developed and published by Health and Fitness Apps Group (the “Developer”), accesses, collects, uses, processes, and shares information.

The App is supported by advertising.

The App does not use physical activity data to provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or medical advice.

1.2 Advertising and Google AdMob

The App displays advertisements and uses Google AdMob and other advertising services.

Advertising providers may collect or process information such as:

• IP address;
• Google Advertising ID (GAID), where available and permitted;
• device information, such as device model, operating system, and app version;
• advertising impressions, views, interactions, and clicks;
• information used to prevent fraud and invalid advertising activity;
• approximate geographic information derived from network information.

This information may be used for advertising and marketing, analytics, fraud prevention and security, and, where applicable and permitted, personalization.

1.3 Clever Ads Solutions (CAS.AI)

The App uses Clever Ads Solutions (CAS.AI) for advertising mediation.

CAS.AI may connect the App with third-party advertising networks and advertising partners. CAS.AI and its partners may collect or process information such as:

• Google Advertising ID (GAID), where available and permitted;
• IP address;
• device model and operating system information;
• app and device technical information;
• advertising impressions, views, interactions, and clicks;
• approximate geographic information derived from network information.

This information may be used for advertising delivery and measurement, analytics, frequency control, personalization where permitted, fraud prevention, security, and other advertising-related purposes.

Depending on the user's location and applicable law, consent or privacy controls may be presented before certain advertising technologies are used.

1.4 Analytics and AppMetrica

The App uses AppMetrica, an analytics service provided by Yandex, to analyze App usage, performance, reliability, and stability.

AppMetrica may process information such as:

• device model and manufacturer;
• operating system and version;
• language and device settings;
• screen characteristics;
• app version;
• app usage and session information;
• feature usage and in-app events;
• diagnostic and performance information;
• IP address;
• device or advertising identifiers, where available and permitted.

The App does not enable AppMetrica's device location tracking and does not provide GPS or Android device location data to AppMetrica.

AppMetrica may determine approximate country-level geographic information from the device's IP address.

1.5 Google Play Services

The App uses certain Google Play Services components as part of its advertising functionality, including components used by Google Mobile Ads and related advertising services.

These components may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, diagnostic information, device and technical information, and other data required to provide, measure, secure, and support advertising functionality.

The App does not use Google Play Services location APIs for GPS or Android device location tracking, and does not use Google Play Services for maps or user authentication.

Information processed by Google through these services is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

2. How Information Is Used

Information processed through the App and its third-party services may be used to:

• provide the App's core functionality;
• analyze App usage and performance;
• identify and resolve technical issues;
• provide, measure, and personalize advertisements where permitted;

The App uses third-party service providers for advertising, advertising mediation, analytics, diagnostics, platform functionality, and related technical purposes.

Step-count information and related physical activity information used for the App's core functionality are stored locally on the user's device.

Locally stored App data can generally be removed by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App, subject to Android operating system functionality and any device backup functionality controlled by the user or platform provider.

The App does not provide user account creation, and the Developer does not maintain a Developer-controlled server database containing users' individual step histories.

Information processed by third-party advertising, analytics, mediation, or platform providers may be retained according to the respective provider's privacy policy and retention practices.

5. Security

The Developer uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information under the Developer's control.

6. Links to Other Sites and Advertisements

The App may contain advertisements and links to third-party websites, apps, or services.

When a user interacts with an advertisement or third-party link, the user may be directed to a service that is not operated or controlled by the Developer.

The App is not specifically directed to children under the age of 16.

The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16 through Developer-operated servers.
